Unit 51 Task 2 - Digital Copyright and permissions.

Digital Copyright and permissions

Copyright is automatically given to whoever makes a product, but then proving that you were the first becomes the problem if anyone tries to copy it. This is why the copyright symbol was introduced (©).
If you licence the copyright then you are entitled to receive royalties; such as: access to the product, freebies from the creator of the company, etc. You cannot copy physical structures or ideas from other companies or independent forms. However if you did copy an idea from a company and the proof that you came up with the idea first is immaterial then you have no legal standpoint to hold onto.

The Berne Convention covers international copyright
